About CoinWhatIf

Last updated: October 2026

CoinWhatIf answers a simple question: what would a crypto asset be worth if its market capitalization matched another one?

How the math works

Market cap is price × circulating supply. If a coin keeps its supply and reaches a target market cap, its price becomes target market cap ÷ supply. You can also change the supply to test dilution or burns.

What it does not tell you

The result is an arithmetic comparison. Markets do not move one coin at a time: liquidity, new issuance, unlocks, demand and the reference coin's own price all change together. Use it to build intuition, not to predict prices.

Data

Prices, market caps and supplies come from CoinGecko and are refreshed every few minutes. Figures can differ between data providers.
