Privacy Policy

CoinWhatIf does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email or wallet.

Data stored in your browser

Your theme, language and the holdings you type in the calculator are saved only in your own browser (local storage). They are never sent to our servers.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider records technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and operation. These logs are kept for a limited time.

Analytics and cookies

We use PostHog to understand how the site is used and to improve it. When you visit, it records the pages you view, the buttons and links you click, how you arrived (referring site and campaign links), your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. To recognise return visits it stores a random identifier in a cookie and in your browser's local storage. The amounts you type in the holdings calculator are excluded and never sent. PostHog processes this data on servers in the United States on our behalf; we do not sell it or use it for advertising. You can block it at any time with your browser's tracking protection or a content blocker.

Your rights

You can clear the data stored in your browser at any time through your browser settings. For privacy questions, contact us through the address published on this page.
